Welcome to the Assam Institute of Nursing. I am deeply honoured to lead this institution and to be part of the journey of every student who walks through our doors with a dream of making a difference in healthcare.

2018
A lamp is lit in Meherpur
Assam Institute of Nursing is established at Panchgori Road, Silchar — founded to inculcate human values, contemporary knowledge and employable nursing skills.
2019
First batch enters the wards
GNM students begin hands-on clinical postings at partner hospitals across Assam from Year 1 — a practice that has never stopped.
2021
100% from the very start
Board examination cohorts achieve a full 100% pass rate — the standard every batch since has held.
2022
ANM opens for the valley
The 2-year ANM programme launches with no upper age bar, widening primary-healthcare careers across rural and semi-urban Assam.
2023
Advanced simulation labs
The simulation suite goes live — students train on real clinical equipment before ever entering a hospital ward.
2024
Session 2024–25 opens
300+ students strong, with 12+ expert tutors and 15+ hospital partners, AIN opens admissions for the new session.
